Mayor's First Tie-Breaker Sets 7 p.m. Meetings for City Council
Falls City Mayor Tim Hersh cast his first tie-breaking vote after four years in office, lending support to Judy Murphy's idea to move all city council meetings to 7 p.m.
The council had been meeting at 6 p.m. on the second Monday of each month and at 7 p.m. for other meetings.
Joining Murphy in the move for 7 p.m. meetings were Mike Dougherty, Jerry Oliver and Kirby Robidoux.
Voting against were Angie Nolte, Steve Scholl, James Wisdom and Don Ferguson.
Mayor Hersh settled the issue, voting to have an ordinance drafted for the time change to 7 p.m. meetings.
